Gyoza is japanese pan-fried dumplings. This recipe makes 40 dumplings and in suitable for 6 people.

๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿปโ€๐ŸณIngredients:

๐ŸŒ•4 cups minced cabbage(soft and leafy parts)

๐ŸŒ•500 gr minced meat 

๐ŸŒ•2 teaspoons grated fresh ginger 

๐ŸŒ•3 cloves garlic finely minced

๐ŸŒ•100gr Spring onion 

๐ŸŒ•2 teaspoon Japanese dark miso paste

๐ŸŒ•1 teaspoon sesame oil

๐ŸŒ•1/4 teaspoon chili powder 

๐ŸŒ•40 dumpling wrappers

๐ŸŒ•Salt&pepper 

โญ๏ธFor cooking the dumplings:

๐ŸŒ•4 tablespoons oil 

๐ŸŒ•water

โญ๏ธFor Dipping Sauce:

๐ŸŒ•6 tablespoons soy sauce

๐ŸŒ•3 tablespoons rice vinegar

๐ŸŒ•Some drops of chili oil or sesame oil 

๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿปโ€๐ŸณMethod:

๐ŸŒ•Sprinkle salt and pepper on minced cabbage and leave it for 15 minutes

๐ŸŒ•Add the meat, ginger, garlic, spring onion, miso, sesame oil and chili powder

๐ŸŒ•Mix everything together well 

๐ŸŒ•Put a dumpling wrapper on a surface, and place a teaspoon of the meat mixture in the center of the wrapper

๐ŸŒ•Fold the wrapper over to enclose the filling, and pinch the wrapper in the center to seal the edges together 

 ๐ŸŒ•Set aside the stuffed dumpling with the pleated-wrapper edge up

๐ŸŒ•Repeat to make all dumplings 

๐ŸŒ•In a large pan heat 1 tablespoon of the cooking oil over medium-high heat

๐ŸŒ•Carefully place as many of the dumplings that can fit in the pan with the pleated-wrapper edge up

Cook the dumplings for 5 minutes, or until golden brown on the bottom

๐ŸŒ•Once the bottoms are golden brown,pour in 1/4 cup of the water

๐ŸŒ•Place the lid on the skillet to hold the moisture and then turn down the heat 

๐ŸŒ•Remove the dumplings from the pan   

๐ŸŒ•While the dumplings are cooking, make the dipping sauce by mixing the soy sauce, rice vinegar and sesame/chili oil together in a small bowl

๐ŸŒ•Serve the dumping shot with dipping sauce 

๐ŸŒ•Garnish it with some green leaves
